![]() ![]() Those five cities on the plain of Jordan were allowed to be destroyed because there weren’t even ten righteous people in that city. ![]() It was only his wife and his two daughters who were still living at home which left Sodom. Abraham’s nephew, Lot, couldn’t even convince his own family to leave. And the LORD said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten righteous people.” And we know the result. Do you recall Abraham’s plea to Almighty God!? “Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city would You also destroy the place.” And the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” And then Abraham said, “Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous?” And then, forty, and thirty, and then twenty, and finally ten. ![]()
